WORKSHOP - "Escola Oficina" - Education and Social Innovation for an Inclusive Society
Developed by the CMVNG (Vila Nova de Gaia Town Hall), Escola Oficina is a project that aims to tackle the societal issue of unemployment, applying social innovation practices to provide solutions for vulnerable groups in society. Our goal is to provide people, through certified training, with the skills that will allow them to enter the labour market either through self-employment or employment by others, allowing them to develop their skills and take on new professional tasks that will generate economic sustenance for their families.

WORKSHOP - Volunteer Management in Development Projects
This workshop will provide the main strategies to help volunteer managers/coordinators in how to provide the volunteers deployed in development projects. Besides following the volunteer management model of Steve McCurley and Rick Lynch, we will use the methodology achieved in Evolver Project. Pista Mágica (Magic Track) is the Portuguese Volunteering School created in 2008, which Mission is to “Educate for a volunteering action that effectively solves the problems in the world.

WORKSHOP - SPIRAL - Participated Social Intervention and Governance Methodology
TOGETHER, the Territories of Co-responsibility International Network, will lead a workshop with the objective to present SPIRAL, a participative methodology of social intervention and governance, originally launched by the Council of Europe and promoted today by TOGETHER. SPIRAL is based on the principle of co-responsibility for the well-being of all, including future generation, considering the well-being of all as the most general expression of the societal progress objective, being defined by the citizens themselves. After a rapid presentation of the principles of SPIRAL, the workshop will focus on a concrete application of the methodology with the participants themselves as citizens, including: 1. Methodology for organizing groups; 2. Methodology for collecting criteria; 3. Methodology for processing data and feed-back; 4. Using the data in different ways (planning, indicators, evaluations, etc.). Minimum: 20 participants.

WORKSHOP - Nutrição Materno-Infantil – Passar da teoria à prática (in Portuguese)
Este workshop destina-se a trabalhadores da área da saúde (nutricionistas, enfermeiros, médicos) e gestores de projetos relacionados com a melhoria do estado de saúde e nutricional das populações, que queiram conhecer as metas atuais da nutrição, os seus desafios e como lhes dar resposta. A primeira parte do workshop tem como objetivos dotar os participantes de conceitos básicos de nutrição materno infantil, conhecer as metas globais da nutrição até 2030, debater a importância dos primeiros 1000 dias de vida e refletir sobre os impactos da malnutrição na saúde, a nível social e económico. A segunda parte é destinada à partilha de experiências dos projetos de nutrição materno infantil que a ONG Helpo tem vindo a desenvolver em São Tomé e Príncipe, Moçambique, Guiné-Bissau e Portugal. Os participantes serão desafiados a “por as mãos na massa” com a resolução de casos práticos e dinâmicas de grupo.
